Where in the World is For the Love of Art Studio?
“So, what do you do for work?”
”Yeah, sooo, I own an art studio.”
“Oh cool, where are you located?”
“Well…we actually don’t have a building right now, we are doing mobile parties at some really cool places in the Charleston area, plus private parties.” (Then I give them a business card).
This conversation happens all the time now. Or, I get customers calling asking to come in to the studio and it comes up. (Sorry y’all, maybe some day:)
For those of you who do not know, we are currently without a building. We had our cute little spot on Ashley River Rd. for 9+ years but sadly when Covid hit, and we were forced to shut down for months on end, we decided it wouldn’t be wise to renew the lease in that space. So we took everything and put it in a big storage unit on Glenn McConnell Pkwy, which now serves as our hub for putting together Paint Kits for customers to pick up in our drop box and for myself and my artists to restock our vehicles with supplies for mobile parties.
We have adapted. Sadly many of the art studios across the country have not been able to withstand the hardship placed on us all due to covid, but art will never die and for those of us just hanging on with all we got, we need the support of local patrons like yourself who love art, are inspired by it and give it a place of value in their every day life.
So where are we? Where can you find us?
While we do not have a brick and mortar as of right now, we can be found at some of your favorite local hot spots! We do continue to grow and so this may not be a comprehensive list at the time of your reading this, so I encourage you to check out our website for the most up-to-date information on our whereabouts.
