SEMI-PRIVATE/SMALL GROUP
(YOUTH)

  • Ages 7-17 (2-6 Students)

  • 90 minute home sessions

  • Shared skill building lessons with individual guidance

  • Do with a sibling and/or friends

  • Homeschool families love this!

PORTFOLIO PREP
(YOUTH)

  • Ages 12-17 (1 Student)

  • 90 minute home sessions

  • Skill refinement, concept development, portfolio review, and artist statement guidance

  • Advanced mentorship for students preparing for specialized programs

ADULT 1:1 ART MENTORSHIP

  • 60-90 minute home sessions

  • Can include but not limited to drawing, color composition, water/acrylic/oil painting and more!

Rachel DuBose King is a Charleston-based artist and experienced art instructor with both formal training and international teaching experience. She studied at Winthrop University’s nationally accredited art program and holds a master’s certificate in EthnoArts from Payap University in Thailand.
After years living and working abroad, Rachel spent three years in Chiang Mai running an art program and leading an art team, where she developed curriculum and taught students from a wide range of ages and cultural backgrounds. She has also provided private art tutoring, working one-on-one with students to support their individual goals and growth.
Now based in Charleston, Rachel brings a thoughtful, structured approach to teaching—helping students build strong technical foundations while also encouraging creativity and confidence.
