Happy Fall Y'all

Honestly I couldn’t think of a better title. I see it everywhere I go here in South Carolina as soon as the stores start selling all things pumpkins and colorful leaves. Being a midwestern girl and now living in the south, I cannot deny that “y’all” has got to be one of the best words ever invented! I am a words person and to me it just has that perfect fit in so many conversations.

It has been a while since I have given y’all an update on the studio amidst the current pandemic.

For those of you who are used to driving down 61 and seeing our sign, you have probably seen that it is no longer there. I know, kind of sad isn’t it. I can both blame and thank Corona for it. Here’s what I mean by that. It was truly hard for us to have been working so hard for the last year since we took over ownership of For the Love of Art, to have to officially close the doors to the studio. However, we also consider it a blessing as well, because we were not really all that happy in that particular location anyway. Our lease came up for renewal around the same time that we were declared non-essential at the end of March and so we took a long hard look at what it would take to endure and push through those limitations to stay there and then what it would take to safely reopen in that space once we could and decided that it just wasn’t going to work out. We were in a perfect position to end the lease and suspend in-person classes and move things to a virtual platform, which is what a lot of other studios around the country were doing any how.

So, today we are in a state of flux as is the rest of the country, but we hope that when things settle down, that we will be able to find that perfect place where we can call our new studio home.

Until then, we are doing virtual classes online through the Zoom platform.

**Please note that recently we have made the change that if there are not at least 3 persons signed up by the morning of the scheduled virtual class, we will close the class and refund anyone who was signed up or give them a class credit to a different class in the future. So, sign up with friends and sign up early! That is our advice. Click HERE to see our upcoming classes!

We also have a Private Facebook Subscription group which is going really well. For only $10 a month you can belong to our private online group where I do 2-4 LIVE classes per month that are in turn saved in the vault within the group for members to watch at their own convenience as many times as they want. Taking advantage of being able to pause, play and repeat steps is something that everyone seems to be loving about it. The group is meant to be encouraging for those who love painting and want to be a part of a group that can be encouraging and inspiring on their artist journey. It is super affordable compared to other companies out there and you can cancel at anytime. Payments are automatically withdrawn by PayPal after sign up. Click HERE to get more info and sign up!

We have been doing some private mobile parties by request also! Last month we were asked to teach a kids paint class to some of the members at the Daniel Island Club on Daniel Island. What a beautiful location. We were able to set up on their boardwalk outside overlooking the golf course. It was amazing and the kids did a great job! This month we are doing a few back yard birthday parties that we are looking forward to. So, if you are interested in getting a quote for your upcoming event please fill out our form HERE.

We hope you are staying healthy and happy. Art is a great way to relieve stress, experience joy in creativity and connect with others. Consider joining one of our classes today! No experience needed.

Have a Happy Fall!
